Its been awhile

So its been awhile since I have posted...I know...I am a terrible person.  First off, here we go.  I am back from Iraq.  Things are just peachy.  I kinda wish I knew what was going to happen when I get out of the army.  I took my phase 1 test of the FBI and awaiting my results.....  Then off to phase 2 if I passed that one.  I have a felling that I may be stuck in the army......NOOOOOOOOO....I hope not.  I bought a motorcycle.  I love driving it around.  It is sooooo much better than a car.   You have to be careful of idiots....that is the only downfall.  But it dont matter....I am truely enjoying this 70+ MPG....I will post pics...maybe one day.  Well...I am off.  I will write some more later.

Kuuuuuuuwwwwwwaiiiit

What a great name for country that we use as the staging area for the middle east war.  Because thats all we do here is wait.  I am so good at waiting that I dont know what to do with myself.  The counter is getting closer to my arrival.  The FBI is waiting me to come home.  They have contacted me and said to tell them when I am back in the states.  So...hopefully I will be able to find out what I am going to be doing soon...I just want to make it to phase 2 testing.  If I do that, then I know that I gave it my all.  Anyways...I am still very worried about my homecoming as I do not know what I am coming home too.  I sit and think about it all day....I just dont know.  Welll...I am off...Laterz

The End is coming soon enough.

So I am using my roomates internet to make updates to those who actually visit this awesome page.  First off, let me tell you that no matter what has happened to me or will happen I am still glad that I had the chance to serve my country no matter how much pain it brought to the table.  I am going to wrap up the whole year in this entry.

Military Achievements:

In January, I was in country for a little over a couple of months and was used to the constant attacks but I would never report to my family as to how much I was exposed to the chance of death.  I was given directive to change the way finance does business.  I was told to implment a system with little or no guidance and to run with using all my knowledge as best as I could do to "Make it Happen".  I would soon be travelling all over Iraq to oversee and make sure that things are properly installed and going the way that I wanted them to...mind you the rank of SPC is pretty much the bottom rung of the army and barely has any power at all.  I was well out of my pay grade and the only thing allowing me to make it through the day was the expectation that I was doing very good at my job and that I was serving the nation and that my family would be proud of me.  That was my driving force and knowning that I had a loving family backing me up.  I would then replace mutiple servers through the country of Iraq for processing finance documents.  I would then start researching for "Large Display" monitors for processing the vast amount of that data would needed to be cleared and displayed through our disbursing office.  After doing this I would then be apart of one of the largest security breaches and investigations in the finance community of the Army.  I would learn the ability to give sworn statements, answer questions with extreme detail and learn more security policies.  During these activites I would then find some time to study for promotion board and eventually get selected for SGT with a score of 700 out of 800 and the cut off score being 680.   As I type this, I am in the process of making one of the smoothest RIP/TOA possible with my coordnation with the Internal Control team and my lessons learned from our arrival into country.  I have planned out every aspect and come up with every solution for every problem that I can come up with so that the when people come to replace me, they will have a nice smooth landing...even though it is still far off.

Family:

WoW....I left a loving wife that I thought would be there for me to help me through the worst of times.   I left a loving son that loves being with his daddy.  My wife was carrying my soon to be very beautiful daughter.  During my hardest times, I would find out that there was a side story to my life that was going on behind my back and would not be presented to me until I would come home on R&R.  As I was dealing with the mission as best as I could, it seemed to settle my mind that my family supported me.  I would not be able to contact my family as much as I liked and then it would not matter because it turned out that I was in the process of being replaced.  I would come home to realize that my wife was talking to one of her exs from her past and that she has fallen back in love with him.  I would find out that she opened communication with him just shortly after I had left for Iraq.  So then after realzing that everything I was in the Army for and all that kept me somewhat sane was nothing but a lie, I would return to Iraq and quickly admit myself into the CSC(Combat Stress Clinic) so that I could recieve counsling and medication.  I would be assigned not one but 2 doctors to help me with my problems and be put on a low dose of anti-depressants.  After realzing that I was not the problem and that in truth it was my wife's problem.  I stopped my medication and started to deal with all the feelings that I have had to deal with.  I realized that my kids love me to death and my parents will always be there for me.  I then began to look inside of me and realize that I am still a good person that I will always be there for my kids.   My son still misses me and wants to see me and my daughter's favorite word is Dada.  They will realize that what I did was for the best for them.  So as I go through the process of divorcing my wife and preparing for my new life.  I am looking forward to the future as I am no longer letting someone else choose my destiny.  I am taking charge and doing what I want.  I am no longer taking one for the team.  As this is what is best for me and my kids in the end.

Friends:

I have developed friendships that I will never forget, even though I may never see them again.  I am going to list a few of them here.

SGT Jennifer E. Evrett:  My very first friend from 101st.  When I lost all hope and thought that I was no longer able to move on with life.  She was there for me and picked up the pieces and helped me stay somewhat sane.  Although she loves to bring drama to the table, and we have fought countless times my loyalty to her remains.  She is considered my Army Sister.  Because I feel the need to protect and care for her, I will never forget her.  She also helped prepare me for the board and was the shoulder that I needed when I was devistated from family drama.  I hope that we will always remain in contact and that someday we may meet again.  We fight like brother and sister, have been talked to many times by different types of people.  Outsiders will never understand us and can only observe at a distance.  People just view our interactions and scratch their heads.  The nick name I gave her is Blue Eyes...because it was too hard to come up with a nick name using her last name.  Most of our discussions are considered classified.

MSG Christine Brosius:  My senior advisor to my life's questions and my technical guidance.  She is amazing.  She has been in all finance positions including SGM of FINOPS with the exception of 1SG.  She loves me to death and tries to protect me from my stupid decisions.  Even though I hardly ever follow her adivce she still deals with me.  I would not be a good son, if I listened to everything she says.  :)  She is always there for me, even though she does not approve of some of the things that I do, she still cares for me and does not want me to get hurt.  I would not be the person that I am without her guidance.  I hope that I will be able to contact her and always talk to her.  She also helps keep my squad leader in line.

SSG Roque Galvan:  My Army dad.  He is there for me and we help each other out.  Just like a good dad should, he encourages me to have fun and enjoy life.  He tries to provide guidance as to how to deal with my female issues as usual I do not pay attnetion.  We play video games, card games together and pretty much keep each other somewhat stable.  There is not much more as we keep most of what we discuss secret.  He is a member of our secret society.

SGT DenyaRose Sunderland:  She is my IA (Information Awareness) advisor.  I have successfuly violated every one of her policies.  I am constantly asking her for favors and please dont scan this one just yets...or can this person be exempt from this.  She is a computer nerd to the 10th power.  She has taught me a lot about active directory and Information Awarness.  Overall she is my outlet from finance.  Sometimes she comes down to play spoons with us.  She also helps me deal with my 4th ID problems.  I have been getting on her nerves lately because of the current investigation going on.  She also has a lot of people that she deals with.  It just amazed me as to how much of a nerd she is. (IA Queen)

Ms Eve Morgan:  My firewall goddess....:)  She makes sure my requests get done quickly and effectively.  The best DoD civlian ever.  She is always going from here to Qutar.  She likes to keep to herself but always offers me food.

These are just a few of the many cool people that I have met over here.  It is great that I have met these people because it was such a great experience.

Conclusion:

Even though I have suffered a lot of pain, I have also done a great deal of things.  I have done more in this year than most people might accomplish in their lives.  I am proud of this and will contiune to improve myself.  I hope that people now understand what is going on.  I am off to lunch.  Happy holidays and enjoy your new years.  Laterz.
